It was held with the support of Russian Ministry of Transport. Among the participants were Rosavtodor, Russian Road Research Institute (ROSDORNII), Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor), representatives of 20 regions, and major road industry companies, including designers, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, software developers and operating companies.
On October 16, the official opening of the exhibition and a plenary session on the Safe Roads national project took place.
Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich, Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev took part in the session.
October 17 presented a very busy agenda – a total of 20 round tables and sessions. Discussions were held on the following topics – traffic safety and infrastructure development, transport planning documents as a basis for the Safe Roads national project, innovations and investments in road industry, staff policy under the Safe Roads national project etc.
